Greetings Mirco,
International Rugby Academy expands into Europe
The International Rugby Academy, the world's first and leading global High Performance provider of rugby player and coach development has expanded into Europe. Developed from origins in New Zealand and recent success in South Africa and the United States, the European International Rugby Academy (EIRA) now provides leading edge, high performance rugby development across Europe.
The brainchild of former All Black and Sky Rugby commentator Murray Mexted, the International Rugby Academy extends its unique formula, and focuses on utilising former and current icons of the game in its programme.
EIRA will operate from London, delivering inaugural rugby programmes for coaches and players in Portugal. The European launch will feature some of rugby's greats - including Philippe Sella, Christian Cullen, Danny Grewcock, Phil Davies, Sean Fitzpatrick and Brian Ashton.
They will deliver their global mantra 'to provide players and coaches with the tools to become successful professionals' via highly specific, technical and inspirational coaching through leading practitioners.

Grass Roots Beginning
The International Rugby Academy (IRA) commenced in New Zealand 10 years ago with the objective of providing the highest level of rugby coaching expertise globally, for the development of promising players and coaches. During this time, 52% of all graduates have been from outside New Zealand and the demand continues to grow. There has been significant success within New Zealand rugby, with graduates making up 34% of its National Provincial Championship players, 30 Super 14 players and 5 All Blacks. The results with USA Rugby have been even more spectacular, with over 50% of all High Performance applicants achieving national status with the USA Eagles.
Cheers,
Murray Mexted
